SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS NAMED

The
LeRoy Maas Wrestling Scholarship presented $6,000.00 in 2010
Post-Secondary Scholarships to ALHS students Mitchel Webb, Trevor
Rasmussen, Reid Anderson, and Matt Dorman. Since 1996, the LeRoy
Maas Wrestling Scholarship has provided scholarship support of
$52,000.00 to 42 deserving ALHS graduates. The Maas Wrestling
Scholarship recognizes and honors the life-long values, teachings, and
service of 93 year-old Coach LeRoy Maas, and supports the
educational development of selected Albert Lea High School student
athlete/scholars.
With
a goal to raise $150,000.00, 138 contributors have made 772
contributions to date, in the amount of $119,103.74. If you would

members of the Board of Directors are Pete Veldman, Dr. Lymon (Manny) Steil, Kathy Raid, Neal Skaar, Jim Mckeown, and LeRoy Maas,
an ex-officio member. Coach Maas has a
voice, but not a vote.
